Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Hobart

Welcome to "Van Diemen's Land!" Schedule flights to arrive by 4 pm. Please meet your Tour Director at your leisure in the hotel lobby from 2.00pm - 5.30pm to complete the tour check-in process. During this time there will be a welcome  meeting and drinks, featuring local Tasmanian wines and spirits.


Day 2: Hobart - Excursion To Bruny Island 

In Hobart, visit the famous Salamanca Market with a chance to meet artisans and taste fresh local produce. Time to explore on your own, grab a coffee, and do some shopping. Evening at leisure. In Bruny Island, enjoy a tasting tour of this rugged island that may include local specialties such as fresh oysters, cheeses, berries, and more.

Day 3: Hobart - Mt Field National Park - Lake St Clair National Park - Strahan

Sightseeing in Mt Field National Park including the walk to Russell Falls. At Lake St Clair National Park visit the Wall in the Wilderness art project followed by sightseeing. Following dinner, the remainder of your evening is at leisure.

Day 4: Strahan - Cradle Mountain National Park

Scenic cruise on the Gordon River and into the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area. Following dinner, the remainder of your evening is at leisure.

Accommodation Spotlight: Spend the next 2 nights at one of Australia's iconic
wilderness experiences. Located at the edge of the spectacular World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park, at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, you'll enjoy warm hospitality, local food and wine, breathtaking scenery and magnificent wilderness surrounds.

Day 5: Cradle Mountain National Park

Sightseeing including a visit to the majestic Dove Lake. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy more of the park on your own. This evening, enjoy a special behind-the-scenes visit to the Devils@Cradle to learn about this rescue centre devoted to saving the endangered Devils.

Day 6: Cradle Mountain National Park - Sheffield - Launcestion - Freycinet National Park

Sightseeing to see Sheffield's famous murals, tasting and tour at a local honey factory. In Launceston enjoy a guided walk through the scenic Cataract Gorge, followed by a tour and tasting at Josef Chromy Vineyard. Evening at leisure following dinner at the resort.

Accommodation Spotlight: Spend 2 nights overlooking the blue waters of Great Oyster Bay with the rugged Hazards Mountains as your backdrop. Located inside Freycinet National Park, you will fall in love with this captivating escape at Freycinet Lodge.

Day 7: Freycinet National Park

Morning cruise including the extraordinary Wineglass Bay and visit to the Cape Tourville Lighthouse. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy the resort or explore on your own. From the Lodge you can easily enjoy a number of short, accessible walks within Freycinet National Park or you may want to consider the more challenging Wine Glass Bay hike for amazing views.

Day 8: Freycinet National Park - Hobart

Afternoon at leisure. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant featuring fresh seafood and local wines. 

Enhance your free time in Hobart with a visit to David Walsh's unique Museum of
New and Old Art (MONA).

Day 9:  Hobart

Your holiday ends with breakfast this morning. You may also choose to extend
