Our business started in 1989 and has witnessed many trials and tribulations over that time.  This is why now during the most challenging time of all,  we are still here  to assist all our clients navigate through the Covid era .  Our deep reservoir of knowledge,  good management  and contacts within the industry have put us in a strong position ready and able to continue to meet all challenges.

We are and will be for some time operating as a home based agency headed up by Stacey Baker  the owner manager ,  who has been with The World @ Braeside Travel for 19 years.

What has been your greatest corporate travel success story to date?

I am often surprised by the varied and exotic locations that our clients travel to. Although I enjoy travelling, I empathise with the business traveller, so I revel in getting the fastest route to and between meetings, securing the most comfortable airline seat with the best entertainment. Comparing the cost versus time is what it is all about. 

Getting to know my clients over the past 19 years has enabled me to get things just right for them. I love the challenge of finding the flights that best suit the client and being able to put together the perfect itinerary - sometimes within a very short time span. We also have developed a great list of hotels worldwide that would suit the business traveller.  

I also organise most of my Corporate clients holidays.  You really get to know what people want.  Armed with that knowledge I can make their holidays tailor made but with the same efficiency I use when they travel for business ,  It works extremely well. 

You are an avid cruiser, what entices you back year after year?

Besides only having to unpack once, cruises are a fantastic way to give you a taste of a destination/city. If you are not sure where you want to go or for how long, cruising allows you to see a variety of cities in a relatively short space of time and get a feel of the city. Then when you’re planning your next holiday you can decide if you want to return and spend longer in those cities.  

Being a detail oriented person, you must have a few handy travel tips... Instead of travelling with multiple travel adapters, take one adapter and a power board, so you can charge all your devices at once. Also before you put your luggage on the flight take a photo on your phone, so that you can describe it, in the unfortunate  event that it is delayed and doesn’t arrive.

What are your favourite locations for a family holiday?

In my family, I like to keep busy, my husband likes to relax and the kids are happy playing in the pool and with other children, We have found cruising works really well for us.  We are all entertained and I don't have to cook or clean!  Resorts and islands, like Club Med and the type you find in Fiji, with a good kid's club are popular with families also.

As your family grows, so do their interests. Travelling to the USA to see Disneyland and Universal Studios is a fun filled holiday for the whole family, even for the big kids like me. Asia offers colour, ceremony and culture combined with delicious food and bargain shopping to tempt all members of the family. Europe has so many castles, churches and magnificent monuments rich in history and filled with enchanting tales of years past that will capture everyone's imagination. Almost anywhere can be a holiday destination for your family.  

What do you love most about your clients?

What I love most is when clients walk in as strangers for guidance to plan their trip and leave as friends. This comes about from the sharing of dreams and the planning to fulfil lifelong wishes and I hope create lifelong clients.
